Gratitude

Thanks for Jane. Thanks for all the people I love, and even some I don’t. Thanks for a good set of hands and a mind that knows when to let them do their thing. Thanks for trees, bees, ocean, rocks, wind, snow, rain, the desert, Stonington, peepers, birds, whales, lions (tigers and bears), the Big E, books, audio books, oil paints, the printing presses, a good rice paper barren, and paper – wow- thanks for making it in rolls, and for charcoal, water soluble graphite, sand, fish, all my toys, weather including floods, fires, exploding volcanos, even hurricanes and tornadoes. Thanks for the Hubble telescope and outer space delivered to my phone every morning. Thanks for the big picture. Thanks for having enough food, and for the kindnesses great and small from friends and strangers. Thanks for the early struggles and for the good teachers and fine examples of what to (and not to) emulate. Thanks for dogs. Humor! and pathos. Thanks for beer. Thanks for Andy Gove’s house, and Robin’s House and that view up the hill…to be continued….meanwhile:
